WE Students selected for Google STEP Internship

The WE Program

Women pioneered the early days of computing in the 1800s. Despite these high early accomplishments, women lost ground in the technology sector and represent a mere 26% of the global tech workforce..

WE, offered by TalentSprint and supported by Google, seeks to balance this gender disparity. This 2 year experiential interactive online program selects, trains, and nurtures capable first year women engineering students to reach their true potential as world-class software engineers.

The first two cohorts received 27,000 applications, of which 220 participants were invited to join the program. The program alumni are working with top tier tech companies.

Based on the success of the first two cohorts, the Cohort 3 has been launched to impact 500 students. The selection will be through a rigorous 3-stage process.

Full or partial fee scholarships will be offered on merit and financial background to all those who are selected for the program.
